Diane Edwins

I grew up in Sumter, SC on a farm where we planted row crops and raised beef cattle. After high school, I attended USC and graduated with a BS in Business Administration.

My work experience after college included working 25 years in two Fortune 500 Industries and a Temporary Employment Service in Human Resources.

I relocated to Berkeley County when I married a farmer. We farm row crops, raise beef cattle and farm timber.

I became a Soil and Water Conservation District Commissioner in January of 1999. During this time I have served twice as Chairman of the District. I have been privileged to serve on the State Conservation District Board (SCACD) as Treasurer for three terms, Secretary for one term and Area Director of the Edisto Savannah District for one term. I served on the board of the Lord Berkeley Conservation Trust for 16 years as well as serving 11 years on the AgSouth Bank Board. I enjoy serving in various capacities in my church as well.

My goal as a Commissioner has always been, and continues to be, to better and maintain our Natural Resources that our Creator gave us. I would like for my grandchildren and future generations be able to have a place to hike, hunt, fish, etc.and enjoy the outdoors.
